A Morning with Lila May

Beach Photo Shoots at Ko’Olina

Heidi sent me an email requesting a photo shoot of her family’s time in Oahu.  Her daughter Lila May is a special little girl that you could read about here.  Her community has pulled together to make all her wishes come true.  I was fortunate enough to make this wish come true and I am so blessed to have met the three of them.  I hope I gave them some beautiful cherished memories of their time together on this beautiful island.  Here are a few highlights of our morning together…

We were originally scheduled for a sunset shoot, but they went venturing into Waikiki and as luck would have it, got stuck in traffic on the way back due to an oil spill on the road that just stopped traffic.  So we met the next morning for this morning shoot and honestly, it could not have been a better morning.  A 5 minute downpour of rain that we let pass over and then the sky was beautiful.  Lila May… my 1 hour of time with her and I found her to be a spunky, sassy, feisty, but sweet little girl… and her mom and dad were fun too!!

We spent the morning just having fun as a little threesome.

It was really warm and humid but look at that sky.. the ocean.. the lush trees and that beautiful family!!

Lila loved being thrown up in the air and caught by dad.

I love this image… so serene… a little girl in this great big world.
