Best Photographer in Waikiki, Oahu
Lately, I’ve been photographing a lot of big families… and I love it. I think it’s great that extended families come to vacation on Oahu together. Our photo shoots at the beach end up being a big love fest party. I love photographing it and I promise you it becomes one of the highlights of your vacation. Here’s one family I met up with near Waikiki in Kahala. On a side note, Waikiki is not a great location to hold your professional photo shoot. It’s not permitted by the County of Honolulu and the State of Hawaii, unless you hire a stock photographer from the hotel you’re staying at (and quite honestly, they are more like snapshots you can take yourself). Not only that, but why would you want bikini clad people in your background shots? Who needs that!? Icky!! Anyway, this awesome family came a short drive out of Waikiki to spend a morning photo shoot with me and we had loads of fun! Practically had the whole beach to ourselves which is a definite AWESOME!! That first image up there was the last shot I took of the day…. Gives you an idea of how much fun we all had. This family was very connected. They weren’t afraid to get close and hug each other. I love it. I pick up on stuff like that and my camera just loves it.

We were just waiting for the waiter to bring them a few bits of pineapple and a sip of a fruity drink…. Kidding.. but seriously! WOW!

It sprinkled heavily in the middle of our shoot, so we took cover for about 5 minutes. When the coast was clear, we headed to the water. I always shoot in the water toward the end of our photo shoots together, mainly because no one listens to me when the beach is involved and everyone ends up getting wet… 100% of the time, this is true! LOL… How GORGEOUS is that image right there?!!
