We spent an afternoon at SALT at Kakaako in Honolulu one afternoon. It’s a nice quiet place to mill around with a cup of coffee in hand checking stuff out. I didn’t have my camera with me, but didn’t hesitate to use my camera phone. So many pretty things to take pictures of!! There is a cute little flower shop attached to a coffee shop called Arvo Cafe. I haven’t had lunch there yet, but I do love to come to check out all the beautiful fresh flowers they have on display.

I love boba milk tea. When I’m here, I always stop at Mr. Tea for my usual iced black tea with creamer, 50% less sweet and double boba. I think the mainland has boba too, but it’s knows as bubble tea. What is it? Basically, boba is chewy tapioca balls in your iced milk tea and it’s super yummy.

My girls like to change it up and try out different flavors… of course, I take a sip of theirs to try it out too… so far, I’m sold with my usual order.

Nathan’s Haute Dogs is a delicious place for gourmet hot dogs!! I got the lobster and shrimp stuffed haute dog, it was so good! I wish there was a little more of it though, it was that good!

That is Moku Kitchen in the background. Their sister restaurant is MonkeyPods in Ko Olina. They used all locally sourced organic ingredients to their dishes.
KoOlina Beach Photoshoots
I went on another day to have lunch with my cousin and we both order burgers. I ordered the blue cheese burger with bacon. Their pickles are actually pickled cucumbers… not yet pickles and a side of kim chee.
My cousin ordered a cheeseburger and we shared a side of fries with ketchup and french fry sauce. It was good eating and company.

This was the lunch time crowd. The interior is really comfortable and relaxing too.
The bar area is exciting to look at and you have to pass it coming in and out of the restaurant.
Kakaako is a new urban development surrounded by condo’s… and around this area, you’ll find wall painted murals by local artists. I haven’t checked out everything in the area, as I know there is a chocolatier shop and a local ice cream shop too… just another reason for me to visit again!
