Family Photography in Oahu
One place that I love to retreat to is the beach. I love Mokule’ia Beach. It is a quiet beach with an expansive stretch of sand. Every time I have been, it’s windy, not crazy windy, but not breezy either. Just enough wind to cool you down and give you major fly away hair. I often go with a beach blanket and a note book and jot down some things on my mind and gaze out into the ocean. I would not suggest this particular location for family photo shoots simply because it is windy and hair will be flying all over the place, not to mention, you will look like a kite with your clothing blowing and sticking onto your body. You will find a lot of kite surfers here as well as those dare devil parachuters since Dillingham Airfield is nearby. There are no facilities nearby or food stands, so if you come to visit, be sure to pack some food.
You can often find me with a camera, a Polaroid, my cell phone and my notebook and a pen. I love to take photos. I eat, live, breathe photography and am constantly viewing the world at all angles.

This beach is breath taking. It is not very populated, maybe one or two people sprinkled about.
I love the shades of blue, the blades of green grass and the neutral palate of the wheat plant there, for lack of a better word.
There are a few beach houses that border the shore. I love the ocean mist that seems to soften the distant view.
The colors and textures of the beach are wonderful when you find them.
I can stare at this all day. Isn’t it gorgeous?
I know when folks come to Oahu, they think of Waikiki. I love Waikiki too, but I love finding these out of the way beaches to sit and be alone. Be still and quiet. I need this sometimes.

I’ve walked up and down this shore many times. Refreshing.
