I was cleaning out my external hard drive and found these gems of my kids that we took a couple of years ago. We were at a gorgeous, but windy beach in the North Shore as the sun was setting and I was able to capture my kids at play. They were chasing a little crab that kept burying itself in the sand…
I think it was maybe the most perfect late afternoon. I mean, just look at the background… the clouds and the sun… just AMAZING!!
My kids were 2 years younger in these photos and they have just changed so much since then… but I love these photos of them playing on the beach…
They are not perfect by any means as they are truly candid, lifestyle type portraits… really, a mom taking photos of her kids on the beach and dad off to the side maneuvering the off camera flash equipment, HA!! (yes, it does help that I am a professional photographer and carry the proper equipment!!)
My son refuses to wear his hair like this anymore.. preferring to let his bangs fall on his face now. I like it gelled up. A happy photo of when he didn’t mind it gelled up.

My oldest one.. 12 years old at the time… she’s a teenager now… Wow.. the time really just zooms by fast!!
