Photographer in Oahu
I took me a few months to blast off a 36 exposure roll of film. You’d think that I’d be able to just blow through them in less than 10 minutes… but when I take my film camera out, I like to take my time and find just the right shot. Come with me on my venture with this roll of film. All shots taken with my 35mm film with Kodak Portra 400 film. This shot above was taken at a beach in Waianae. Just love the green mountains against the blue ocean.
That’s my husband there… he has his own film camera.

We left the beach and happened on some horses. I rarely see horses, not like when I lived in California where there was plenty of fields for them to roam.

I usually photograph people, so this beautiful horses were definitely a treat for me.
One day we went to Haleiwa.. actually, we go there a lot. There’s a great place to rent stand up paddle boards to paddle up the Anahulu Stream.
Somewhere within this roll of film, we ended up at the far end of the island near Mokulei’a Beach. The specs in the background on the left are kite surfers. My son loves exploring and I love taking his picture.
Last few pictures I took were near the Shangri-La. I don’t know the name of this small beach, but interesting enough for me to take a few shots. Mopeds under palm trees are a typical sight here on the island. Beach goers under palm trees are a typical sight too!!
