Jen contacted me several months ago. Her brother was going to have a simple beach wedding with his true love in Oahu and she wanted to have great photographs to remember the day. An excited sister who wanted the elopement ceremony to be as perfect as possible for her brother and sister in law to be, Jon and Rachel, she let me know that the couple didn’t want to fuss, a simple toes in the sand event, but she wanted her brother to have photographs to cherish. What an awesome sister! I felt Jen’s love for her brother through our email correspondence and few chats over the phone, I am very honored to have been able to photograph this simple ceremony for them.
It turned out to be a very overcast and wiiiiiindy day, to say the least, but this simple 15 minute ceremony was all that these two needed to pledge their love and commitment to each other.
It turned out into a family photo shoot and I was happy to oblige. Jen is a very busy mother of 2 and I was happy to get her and her husband in a moment for maybe 2 minutes.

Rachel’s children love their mom so much and the happiness for her new marriage was evident. I wanted to thank Rachel’s son for helping me lug my camera bag in the sand… thank you!! Such a thoughtful, polite young man!
To round out the family is Jon and Jen’s mom and dad… or as their grandchildren lovingly refer to grandpa as “El Conquistador!”
