When the house is quiet and the kids are in school…I find evidence of them.
Like the half eaten graham crackers that Jensen left on the kitchen bench…
Or the much examined leaf arrangement that the girls left on the table…
I have a brief moment of motherly angst about the mess, but soon realize that it’s the pieces of them that they leave behind unknowingly for me and I can smile about it and love them even more for it.
