Every chance we get, usually on the weekends, we have been getting in the car to explore… we headed up to the North Shore of Oahu this time and you really don’t have to go far to see the beauty of this land… it’s eye candy every time I turn my head. We were coming back from Turtle Bay, it had just showered, the clouds were all over the place and the sun was shining through. We veered off the road and had to take photos.

No, it’s not the ocean… it’s the beautiful mountains and the lush greenery and the magnificent rays of the sun. Magical, isn’t it?

Yokohama Beach… a short drive past Ko Olina, past Wainae where the highway just ends, you end up here… The water is turquoise… We jumped out of the car when we spotted a pod of dolphins swimming. The kids were so excited.. we were all excited, we’d never seen that before.. there were about a dozen dorsal fins popping up out of the water, pretty cool. That’s what you call it right, dorsal? Or do you just call it dolphin fins?

I’m amazed that I actually live on O’ahu now. I’m still wondering when we are going to pack our bags to go home.

The kids are on Winter Break from school and they get a kick out of the weather being so warm and they could wear flip flops (slippa’s in Hawaii).. They just love Hawaii. David is fitting in quite nicely as well.

Marlena is like me, cold easily… that’s a sweater she got for Christmas. The water was so inviting but we were in a hurry to get out of the house, we didn’t think to bring our swim stuff. Lesson learned, pack the stuff!! Don’t leave home without it!!
Much Aloha,
