It’s a great time to be alive… I mean, the technology and at your fingertips! I still remember the phones with the rotary dial hanging on the wall with the knarly curly coil that connected the handpiece to the wall unit. How many of you are old enough to remember that? Oh and forget about it if you messed up on dialing on that round dial, because you’d had to start ALL over again! You’d have to click on the hang up button and wait for a dead dial to click back on again before you could dial. I have recurrent nightmares about dialing my husband on that ancient equipment and also being so frustrated because I could never get past the third digit without making a mistake and having to start all over again. Then in my dream, he’d walk in the room and I’d be so relieved to see him and I’m all “You just don’t realize what I’ve been going through with this darn phone! I’m so glad you’re here, I’ve been trying to dial your number for the past hour!” and he’s all “Get a grip.” Yeah, it went like that. Thank goodness technology is what it is! Which brings me to this bad boy, my new phone. I’m finally up with technology… it’s sad when I see my high school babysitters with one of these and I’m all, “you’re so cool”. Can you say phone envy? I was really sad to leave my old provider because I think they were the best… and I probably will be sad that I made the switch so soon, because in a few months time, what with all the rumors of the current carrier and what not…but it’s not a discussion for here. Anyway.
