For a few years now, I’ve been shooting all my personal work with my film camera. I’ve talked about it here and there on this website and how much I love the medium. For the past few months, I’ve taken my film camera with me to my professional family photo shoots and have shot a roll of film each time. I’ve been crafting my film portraits portfolio so that I could offer you film photography as another choice to digital photography. I’ve been working really hard and I’m happy to say that the time has come to debut my film website www.oceansareblue.com Oceans are Blue is a collaborations between my husband and myself, photographing families and all the beautiful things of Oahu on film.
Jennifer Brotchie Photography is still very much alive and kicking bringing you fast turn around times, gorgeous portraiture and one of a kind sunset photo shoots. Oceans are Blue is exclusively film photography giving you a classic, timeless look to your photographs. The images are shot on film and mailed out to a developing lab to process. Negatives are converted into .jpg files and voila, beautiful film images! Because they are not digital images, they cannot be heavily manipulated as digital files can be when brought into software. Without getting into the technical aspects, a photo shoot with film is just like a normal fun photo shoot except your images will be produced on film.
