North Shore, Oahu Lifestyle Photographer
I had a great time with this family visiting from the mainland. We headed up to the North Shore for some fun among the palm trees and local beach. Claudia let me know that they are a very casual, relaxed family and this would be their first photo shoot. I am always so honored to be a family’s first photo shoot experience. We got busy getting the necessities out of the way, the portraits, the must have groupings.
The boys were a bit apprehensive, very shy… the “let’s get this going so we can go play” look. I get that a lot! 🙂
Mom and dad were a little nervous too, but they rocked it out!
The Grands were like… “Oh, yea, we are awesome in front of the camera!” They totally were!! As soon as the portraits were done, I set them loose and went into “Lifestyle” mode. What is lifestyle photography? If you google it, you’ll find various definitions, but in essence it is to photographically capture people/family in candid situations that tells the story of that particular moment in life. At least, this is MY definition, and what I set out to do when you are in front of my camera.
It’s a little direction or no direction and just capturing what’s happening in an artistic way. These boys just wanted to play! Big smiles on their faces!
When everyone is happy and relaxed, I will call them to take a quick photo together… it’s always fun.
